Flute
The flute is a remarkable instrument which adds a beautiful overtone to any ensemble. It was amongst the first of all musical instruments to be used by humans and indeed, there is evidence of this from a flute made of bone which was found in a cave in Divje Babe, Slovenia that dates back 43,000 years! There are many different variants of flute and these can be made of wood or metal, they are all different shapes and sizes and can be pitched in different keys.

The piano/keyboard is possibly the most versatile of all musical instruments. Recorder
The recorder is historically one of the oldest instruments which is still popular amongst musicians of all ages today. It dates back to the Middle Ages and was very popular in the renaissance and baroque periods featuring in many pieces written at that time. It is what Rose likes to affectionately refer to as 'hey nonny nay' music. Indeed, Henry VIII was an avid fan and even played the recorder himself. It has a clear and sweet tone and adds a certain flavour to musical ensembles. It provides an interesting and dynamic musical platform for all aspiring musicians.

Music Theory
Music theory provides the knowledge base for all aspiring musicians to take their practical music playing to whatever level they like. It also provides the platform for all musical composition and is therefore, a 'must' for all aspiring music composers. Rose makes it as easy as 'abc' for her students to learn the theory of music from Italian terms to composition and from key signatures to scales. Her 'easy to understand' teaching method and approach to learning will have you whipping through those grades in no time at all!
